Care Guide
Your Chevelle hair extensions are crafted from premium Remy human hair and, with the correct maintenance, can remain soft, healthy and beautiful for months.
Following these simple care tips will help maintain their appearance and maximise their lifespan.
Before Washing
Always gently brush your extensions before washing to remove any knots or tangles.
Use a soft-bristle or extension brush and work from the ends upwards, supporting the hair as you brush.
Never brush wet extensions, as this can cause unnecessary tension and damage.
Washing
- Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner.
- Wash using lukewarm water.
- Gently smooth shampoo through the hair without rubbing or scrubbing.
- Rinse thoroughly before applying conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends.
- Avoid applying conditioner directly to Nano Tips or attachment points.
Drying
Pat the hair dry using a towel—avoid rubbing.
For best results, allow the hair to air dry where possible.
If using a hairdryer, use a low to medium heat setting and ensure attachment points are fully dry before sleeping.
Heat Styling
Chevelle extensions are made from real human hair and can be curled, straightened and styled.
Always apply a heat protectant before using heated tools and avoid excessive temperatures to help maintain the hair’s condition.
Sleeping
Never sleep with wet hair.
Before bed, gently brush the hair and tie it into a loose braid or low ponytail to reduce tangling overnight.
A silk or satin pillowcase can also help minimise friction.
Swimming & Holidays
Before swimming, tie your hair into a loose braid or ponytail.
After swimming in chlorine or salt water, rinse the hair with clean water as soon as possible and follow your normal care routine.
Brushing
Brush your extensions two to three times each day using an extension-friendly brush.
Always start at the ends and gradually work upwards while supporting the hair to avoid placing unnecessary tension on the attachment points.
Products to Use
For the best results, we recommend:
- Sulphate-free shampoo
- Sulphate-free conditioner
- Heat protectant
- Lightweight hair oil (mid-lengths and ends only)
- Extension-friendly brush
Avoid applying oils, masks or conditioners directly to the attachment points.
